February news

February was a great month for seeing all sorts of great people working in travel as I made it over to Denmark and Sweden for a week.  The agencies over in Scandi are employing staff as fast as possible as demand is still outstripping supply.  Most agencies had 2/3 staff that had been there under a year and 1/3 experienced staff with more new staff on the way.

In mid-March we have PATA exchange https://pata.org.uk/event/pata-exchange-2023/ and soon afterwards there is a Tourism Australia update so there are a few opportunities to catch up with various product managers and tourism boards.

Kilroy Travels are making progress in their UK launch.  Bristol has been decided as the first shop location, this will be the old STA shop if a deal can be cleared up with the landlord.  Staff still TBA but it is likely to be ex-STA crew.

My Training Guru is up and running with over 100 agents signed up for training, this will hopefully snowball and become the go-to point for any training and information requirements for NZ/Australian products.
