May news
The Middle East situation has clearly not changed but the effects are starting to be felt by everyone. March was down due to travel agents spending time re-routing customers, April was back just below normal but May has been rough as customers hold back on booking due to uncertainty, lack of availability, rates, etc. Everyone is waiting for the ME bubble to burst bringing fuel prices down and hopefully starting a bit of a price war with ME carriers. Demand is still there and the vast majority are not choosing different destinations, it is a waiting game.
ATE and TRENZ also meant that the decision makers were all in NZ/Australia and on fam trips so progress has been very slow but they are all back now and invigorated so June will be hectic.
