August news

NZ and Australia remain expensive due to lack of seats on planes but everywhere is the same!  Customers are just getting used to things being more expensive as staff shortages continue to create problems with distribution and lower service levels.

The Pound is having a tough time which is not great for me, but it is good for travel to NZ/Australia as the AUD is now over $2 to the £1 and NZD is $2.17 which makes the destinations cheaper.

Tourism New Zealand have stats to show their ‘If You Seek’ campaign has influenced visitors to spend extra days in NZ (6%) and visit more regions (11%) and are now more likely to consider sustainability (17%) which is great news.

The England Women’s Football team made it to the World Cup Final which was great PR for Australia and New Zealand.

This month has been all about new brochures and websites with lots of product people looking for images, content, copy and rates.  I did make it to NZ very briefly which was great, and I have also spent a lot of time planning, booking all the September travel and meetings including WYSTC in Lisbon https://www.wystc.org/
