July news

On my way to NZ!

The economic climate in the UK and EU is still a mess due to Covid hangover, mass migration and Brexit.  This leaves us with a lack of staff in many countries, mainly in the lower paid sector.  The UK is the hardest hit with high inflation, high interest rates and ever-increasing energy costs.  Things seem to be settling down a bit this month and the news has swapped over to the heatwave in Europe. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-66207430  This is causing people to cancel holidays in Europe and even USA so we may see a few extra bookings coming in for NZ.

Demand for Australia and New Zealand is still very high and flight capacity has not caught up yet, so we are still in a situation where demand is outstripping supply.  Airlines are extending capacity and I expect the NZ summer capacity to be very close to 2019 levels.

Lots of publicity for the Women’s World Cup Football in NZ and Australia has to be good for profile https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/womens-world-cup

Rubbish weather in the UK also has to be good for people booking holidays overseas right now.

This month has been all about new brochures and websites with lots of product people looking for images, content, copy and rates.
